Edges of the Frame
Leading Lines
Dear Future
For this shoot I used a projector to project images on my model. For the first shot I projected eyes then mirrored the image to get the image on both sides. For the middle image I projected the image and made the image black and white. The last image was me experimenting with two photo and the opacity to get the effect of two separate people. I then played around with vibrance and saturation to get the blue and red.
Documentary Shots
For this shoot I used 3 different lenses to show the difference they can make to the outcome of photo and how it could change the narrative of what the shoot is about. The story behind this photo series is how art makes people feel and the reactions art can inflict. As you can see by the second photo, the video playing on the tv caused a reaction. The last photo shows the work that goes behind the art and how much time and effort is put into creating something.
Composite Photo
For this shot I used a hot light with a red filter and to edit the photo I used Adobe Photoshop. The process to get the snail on her face was firstly finding a picture of a snail on Pexels.com then playing around with color blending on photoshop and adding a shadow to the snail to really bring the edit to life. This photo is about how a snail's shell is a spiral which correlates to how the girl's mind is spiraling out of control as she loses her battle with her mental health. I took inspiration from a 1977 horror movie call "House", movie uses a lot of color lighting to emphasize the meanings throughout the movie.
Photo & Printing Making
Abstract
For this series of photos I used a hot light with a red filter and I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the images. The first thing I thought of when I think abstract is "blurry". So I wanted to go with a concept that was kinda of discomforting. I came up with the idea to blur the face but keep everything else in focus because the idea that you can clearly make out a figure without being able to see a face is scary. I am happy with how these photos turned out.
MOPA - Exploration
For this photo I used a zoom camera with the flash and I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the photo. My idea for the MOPA theme of exploration was to do outdoor exploration. So in the photo my model is using binoculars to look for wildlife. I like how all the colors work together in the image and I like how warm the tones are. Overall, I am happy with how the photograph turned out.
