Portrait
In this assignment, I first had a portrait taken in very dark lighting to give it a more serious tone. After several attempts, I finally got one that worked. Then I masked and cropped the image and had it printed. Finally, I spent several days trying to find a background that suitted this image and finally decided on collaging images I found from a magazine and splattering red paint to represent blood. I think I did a mediocre job on this project. I couldve done better if I didn't rush it. What I could have done better with this project is not thinking so hard about my ideas and to manage my time more wisely. I was being very picky about everything during this project.

Photo Manipulation
What I did to make this image was first find two images and merged them to make it look like the aurora borealis was part of the image. Next I edited the lighting in Lightroom to make it look like it was night. I think I did alright on this image for it being my first time using this tool. I could've moved the aurora borealis up a bit but that's about it. Photo Credits: Sydney Haws Jasmin Chew |

Pen Tool Assignment
For this image I cropped out the background and made it black. Then I used the pen tool to make it look like my head was melting. After I was happy with that, I went into the filter gallery and put on a black and white filter. Lastly I added the text to bring it together. I think I did pretty good on this assignment. I used the pen tool simply. What I could've done better was the pen tool drip effect.

Filters
My process for this project was copying the videos assigned step by step and adding them to my photo. I did not struggle with anything because the tutorials are easy to follow. If I were to do this again I would not change anything. I used composition in my image. I also used value in my photo.
Biographic Portrait
I chose to do my biographic portrait on Rick Owens. I chose him because he inspires me to keep creating and I admire his work in the fashion industry. He has an impact on not only me, but also multiple parts of the media. From his work with furniture to references of him in rap, he inspires all. The item I chose for his hair is a part of a runway piece from his fall/winter 2021 collection in Paris. His skin is made up of different pictures of his wife that I changed the exposure of to get different tones. His eyes are made of tables from his furniture line. The line work around his nose and jaw are made from a sarcophagus in his home. Finally, the jacket is also from a jacket he designed called "DRKSHDW". Overall, I did very good on this piece. I captured different lighting aspects and got his overall look right.
Intro GIF
For my "tester" GIF, I decided to play around with bubble wrap and wrap it around my head. My process for this was setting up lighting and having my friend rapidly take photos of me while I unwrap the bubble wrap. For the editing, I decided to make myself a goblin. There was no thought behind making me a goblin, I just did it.

My Safe Space Sculpture
For my project. I chose to do my room. The reason I chose it was because to me, it provides me a safe space. When my parents have a lot of guests over at our house, I can get overwhelmed and need a place to calm down or be alone so I go to my room. My room also provides me with a safe space by allowing me to become vulnerable and cry with no one to judge me. My color scheme for this project was neutral tones and there are 3 main parts, the desk, the bed and the dresser with a TV.
Series of Images
For this project, I couldn't decide where I wanted to go with it but after looking at some inspiration I came up with the concept of drugs. The series depicts the before, during, and after effects of drugs. I took inspiration for my editing from Wong Kar-Wai, more specifically, his film Fallen Angels. My main focus when editing these photos were the green hue with all the images which I think ties them all together.
